The Dealership Workforce Study is the only study that compares a dealership’s compensation and benefits, retention and turnover, work schedules and hours of operation to aggregated peer data. The results will allow dealers to make data-based decisions when recruiting, hiring and moti- vating employees. Only NADA and ATD members are eligible to participate, and there is no cost to do so. To participate, visit www.nadaworkforcestudy.com and follow the step-by-step directions to complete the survey and upload your payroll data file. There are separate processes for single dealership enrollments and multi-dealer group enrollments. Each participat- ing dealership will receive a complimentary individualized Basic Report comparing its data against data aggregated on a regional and national basis. Participants will also receive a complimentary, comprehensive DealershipWorkforce Study Industry Report. Par- ticipants may purchase an individualized Enhanced Report, which compares dealership data against data for the franchise and state. 2013 NADA and ATD Workshops Now Available Online The workshops from the 2013 NADA and ATD Conventions are now available online at www.NADAUniversity.com. CFPB & Support for Franchised Dealer Network among Topics Discussed at Auto Forum Industry leaders and analysts were upbeat about the economy in their presentations to the 2013 Automotive Forum, held recently in NewYork City. Nearly 400 dealers, OEMand supplier executives, analysts and media convened to look at global issues shaping the auto industry, the state of the economy and the challenges facing new car dealers and their customers. Participants were upbeat about the recovering economy, expanding credit and a growing demand for newer inventory to replace aging fleets. The consensus among top analysts was that new vehicle sales will exceed 16 million units by 2015. The forum discussed an issue of major concern to the industry regarding the recent “guidance” from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) that many feel will threaten dealer- assisted financing. In March, the CFPB released a bulletin that claims indirect lending through dealerships may result in NADA Director’s Message
