MAGUIRE It’s Been An Honor Representing New Jersey It has been my privilege to serve as New Jersey‘s NADA Director. I thank you for giving me the opportunity to rep- resent New Jersey’s dealers on a national level. For three terms, including my tenure as NADA Director representing Women East of the Mississippi, I have traveled to Washington D.C. ( and many other parts of the U.S. ) communicating with legislators and manufacturers to support our industry issues and franchise laws. The challenges in New Jersey are unique. We have a lot of dealers in a relatively small geographic area. There is intense competi- tion, but we work together to protect and expand our rights as business owners, em- ployers, taxpayers and community leaders. While my focus is shifting back to running the family business here in New Jersey, I will continue looking for ways to support both NADA and NJ CAR in any capacity I can identify. Looking back on my tenure as New Jersey Director, I’m particularly proud of what I was able to accomplish with my col- leagues at both NADA and NJ CAR. As Chairwoman of the NADA Public Affairs Committee, at a time when the TIME Magazine Quality Dealer Award program (now the TIME Dealer of the Year Award) was in jeopardy, we were able to reinvigorate the program and put it on the road to the prized industry award it is today.
