This milestone will be celebrated with a re- release of the Coalition’s Management Training and Certification Program. First offered a decade ago, this NJ CAR Program has proven to be popular with the Coalition’s dealer members and their management-level employees. When the Coalition first rolled out its Management Training and Certification Program, more than 300 dealership management employees took advantage of the training and became “certified”. In addition, more than 30 dealerships achieved “dealership certification” for their facility, because all of their management employees achieved certification under NJ CAR’s Program. Now, with the release of the Coalition’s newly-updated management compliance guides, there will be another opportunity for dealerships and their management-level employees to become certified. NJ CAR anticipates that demand for certification will be just as popular now as it was a decade ago. Compliance Guides Updated & Republished This Year In June 2017, NJ CAR released its newly up- dated regulatory compliance series—a four (4) volume set, as follows: Volume 1: The New Jersey Sales & Use Tax Guide Volume 2: Consumer Protection&Fair Credit Compliance Volume 3: Federal Finance Regulations Volume 4: Wage and Hour & Employment Compliance These educational guides will provide the framework for a new compliance curriculum for the Coalition’s Management Training and Certification Program. A Brief History Of The NJ CAR Academy The concept of an NJ CAR Academy was the result of brainstorming by NJ CAR staff with Judy Vann, of J.V. With nearly three decades of experience in the retail auto industry, Judy Vann specializes in training for sales and marketing, F&I and management. She is an Association of Finance and Insurance Pro- fessionals (AFIP) Accredited Facilitator and has guided hundreds of F&I profession- als through the AFIP certification program over the last five years. Judy’s proven and effective training methods have resulted in some of the highest testing scores for AFIP certification by those who went through her training sessions. Through her company, J.V. Solutions, Judy has assisted dozens of dealer groups with implementing their Safeguards and Red Flags Rule programs.
