Solutions have developed a strong part- nership that has enabled the NJ CAR Academy to continue to grow and expand its training abilities over the last decade. The Academy, through a combination of webinars, seminars and workshops, offers training to all key departments within the dealership—from Sales to Service; F&I to BDC, as well as a newly-created annual Office Manager & Controller Workshop and NJ CAR’s 3-day Motor Vehicle Training Program. Since its inception a decade ago, more than 1,700 individuals have received training by attending either anNJ CARwebinar, seminar, full- or half-day workshop or multi-day training or cer- tification program. Dealers also have the option of scheduling in-house training for their employees ( if they have a group of at least 10 employees scheduled for a training session ). NJ CAR uses a wide variety of trainers—each of whom has expertise in their field. Some of these individuals are employed by companies that NJ CAR has partnered with to offer various products and services to its members, others are independent experts that have no direct affiliation with the Coalition. In every instance, NJ CAR looks to recruit themost talentedexperts to offer training in the most effective way possible. Feed-back to each training session offered by NJ CAR is welcomed and appreciated. All seminar and workshop eval- uations are carefully reviewed with a view that constructive criticism is a valuable tool which enables the Coalition to continually improve its training programs. NJ CAR is open to any suggestions from the membership, with regard to future training topics, presenters and training locations.
