O R G NJ CAR Offers A Variety Of Insurance Products To Protect Dealers BY JUDI MCGINLEY, NJ CAR DIRECTOR OF MEMBER SERVICES NJ CAR continues to offer a variety of insurance products to its members that provide protection and can have a significant impact on the deal- ership’s bottom line. Below is a brief rundown of several NJ CAR insurance products available to dealer members. WORKERS COMPENSATION PROGRAM NJ CAR has one of the best Workers’ Compensation programs for the automotive retail industry in the state of New Jersey. That’s because, as your association, we put the health of your business first. NJ CAR, along with its partners at AmTrust North America and Gallagher, have created a program specifically designed to meet the workers’ compensation insurance require- ments of our members. The NJ CAR program is broker-friendly and has saved members millions of dollars through sever- al cost-saving benefits. Participants enjoy: • One of the most competitive dividend programs (up to 25%) in the state. Dividends are calculated based on an individual dealer’s loss experience and paid directly to the member, NOT a credit applied to future premiums. • Proprietary class codes, offering 15- 20% savings, as well as an up-front credit up to 25%. • Access to the Zero Injury Protection (ZIP) program, a proprietary safety program for the automotive retail industry that includes ongoing professional support (throughout the year) to reduce injury and reduce insurance costs. • A strong claims management capability, including review of claims, fraud investigation, subrogation recovery, and an online Claims Reporting System that provides immediate assignment of an adjuster and claim number. HOLE-IN-ONE INSURANCE NJ CAR has offered its own Hole in- One Insurance Program for more than 20 years, and the Program has earned a stellar reputation. Armed with the length of the hole being insured, value of the “prize,” and the number of play- ers participating in the event, it takes just a few minutes to obtain a quote from NJ CAR. LEMON LAW BONDS Used car lemon law bonds are required by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Com- mission in order to renew the dealer- ship’s Motor Vehicle Dealer license. NJ CAR offers competitively priced Continuation Certificates, issued by our Lemon Law Bond provider, Service In- surance Company, for dealerships who choose to purchase their bond through the Coalition. HEALTH BENEFITS There are two Brokers that offer fully insured programs to NJ CAR members: Fotek Business Solutions, a division of Hub International and Corporate Synergies. The programs offered by NJ CAR offer dealers complete open enrollment management (onsite presentations, “hands-on” implemen- tation and assistance with claims issues). They also offer dedicated assistance with day-to-day issues, including processing of benefits additions, deletions and changes, answering benefit and coverage questions, resolving billing and enrollment issues, assistance with State and federal benefits regulations and much more. DISABILITY INSURANCE American Fidelity Assurance Company offers a variety of voluntary benefits to dealerships. One of the benefits is disability insurance, which protects your employees by allowing them to earn an income when they are unable to work due to an injury or illness. NJ CAR also offers a Short-Term Tempo- rary Disability Benefit (TDB) insurance program, underwritten by The Standard Insurance Company, which offers several advantages ompared to the program offered by the State of New Jersey.
