O R G New Jersey dealers will soon have access to the following services and benefits: (1) Salesperson Certification: A 3-hour in-market course featuring a mix of lecture, equipment familiarization and group discussion covering the topics listed below. Trainees are also provided with a quick reference sheet and access to the PlugStar EV dealer web app for quick look-up and sharing of incentives, equipment and other key information with customers. Completion of the course qualifies the salesperson for the Bronze Level PlugStar EV Specialist designation. Sales staff can advance to higher levels of certification with experience and with the completion of additional coursework. • Government Incentives • Charging at Home and on the Go • Utility Rates and Programs • Selling the Value of Electric Driving • EV Sales Best Practices • Using Online Resources (2) Dealership Certification: Dealers meeting the conditions listed below can earn Bronze Level PlugStar Certified EV Dealer status. These dealers receive licensed access to the EV dealer portal and mobile-friendly web app and are featured on PlugStar.com and the online properties of our PlugStar national and regional partners. They also receive two reference manuals and two EV selling points posters per rooftop, plus six months’ complimentary hotline support from EV experts at Plug In America. Dealers may also earn PlugStar Silver or Gold level designation by meeting additional criteria indicative of their level of commitment to growing EV sales. • At least two PlugStar Certified EV Specialists on staff. • Support for local EV outreach efforts, including providing staff and EV models for ride and drive events. • Share monthly EV sales and proportion of total sales data with Plug In America. Additional services made available through PlugStar include: • In-dealer training sessions • Self-paced training through the PlugStar online e-Learning platform To date, Plug In America has trained 800+ salespeople and regional OEM sales support staff nationwide with over 99% of participants recommending the program to others. The program delivers proven results. Pilot training held in San Diego and Sacramento saw participating dealerships sell two to five times more EVs than similar dealerships that did NOT receive the EV training.
