Supporting NADA PAC Is Money Well Spent The National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) political action committee, NADA PAC, is a critical part of the organization’s advocacy on Capitol Hill. NADA PAC receives voluntary personal contributions from dealers and managers of NADA-member dealerships and contributes to pro-business candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate. NADA PAC is one of the largest business trade association po- litical action committees in the country and is the only PAC rep- resenting the interests of all franchised dealers of new cars and trucks. I know we ask dealers to contribute to NJ CAR’s political action committee, CAR-PAC, and that support is critical to the Coalition’s advocacy on dealers’ behalf in Trenton. While some issues may overlap on the State and federal level, it is equally important for dealers to support NADA PAC. NADA PAC received $2.21 million in contributions in 2018 and set a goal of $1.34 million for 2019. Through August 31, 2019, NADA PAC had already received $1.07 million. Twenty (20) individuals from New Jersey have contributed a total of $26,475 to NADA PAC so far in 2019; a list of these contributors is below. This is a great start, but I know New Jersey can do better. NADA addresses a variety of issues on the national level, in- cluding automotive tariffs, auto financing, vehicle recalls, State franchise laws and much more. To receive mailings and other communications from NADA PAC, a dealership is required to provide prior authorization to NADA PAC. If you haven’t already done so, please reach out to NADA PAC staff NOW at 202.627.6755 or via email at na- dapac@nada.org to request a prior authorization form. Fill it out and send it back so NADA, so they can provide additional infor- mation about what the political action committee does, where the contributions are spent, legislative successes and so much more. If you have any questions, please contact me, or the NADA PAC staff in Washington. They can be reached at 202.627.6755 or nadapac@nada.org . The following individuals have contributed to NADA PAC through September 30, 2019: Edward J. Barlow, Jr. Raymond M. Burke, III Robert B. Ciasulli Drew R. Coleman Rick DeSilva Rick DeSilva, Jr. John L. Fette Orrin K. Gensinger David Kull Lawrence W. Kull H. Dennis Lauzon Charles S. Miller Eric Nielsen James T. Reydel Drew Sciaulino Peter Spina Louis A.
