Facebook NJ CAR Recognizes Dealership Heroes NJ CAR wants to recognize Burlington Chevrolet and its many char- itable efforts, including supporting Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center in Blackwood and hosting showroom events with dogs looking for a home. NJ CAR recognizes the Burke Mo- tor Group and its Burke Promise Initiative, which identifies four charities that customers can choose from and makes a con- tribution for every vehicle sold. The latest round of donations totaled more than $16,600 and benefited the Avalon Lions Club, Beacon Animal Rescue, Disabled American Veterans Chapter #44 and Holy Redeemer Health Sys - tem of NJ Shore. The Initiative’s next round will support the Cape May County Chamber of Com- merce Education Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic & Cape May Counties, Cape Hope and Heroes on the Water South Jersey. In its inaugural year, the Burke Promise initiative raised over $30,000 to benefit a variety of community organizations. NJ CAR recognizes Burlington Chev- rolet, Burns Buick GMC, Lucas Auto Group, Miller Ford Lincoln Subaru and all the other New Jersey neighbor- hood new car and truck dealerships helping their com - munities during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. N J CAR recognizes BMW of Bridgewater, which donated several cases of latex gloves to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. They also donated gloves and seat covers to a police department where the spouse of one of their employees works. If anyone has Physical Protective Equipment ( masks, gloves, face shields, gowns, etc. ), please consider donating them to a local hospital that desperately need it to protect those on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. NJ CAR recognizes Stevens Jersey City Ford, which has been working round-the-clock repairing Jersey City Police and Ambu - lance, Newark Police, NYPD, FDNY and many other first responder vehicles to keep them running smoothly during the ongoing crisis. NJ CAR wants to recognize Lucas Auto Group, which has had its 3-D printers making desper - ately needed respiratory masks in a variety of sizes, using three layers of heating filter fabric and silicone weather stripping to ensure good filtration and a tight seal. They are also making hand sanitizer from fresh aloe and 99.9% alcohol and working to get any service customer in the medical community back on the road as quickly as possible.
